A Walk Around The Breast

There were several people out walking around the lake bed today, and as you can see, we were able to walk out to what used to be near the center of the lake. It was a strange feeling to be out there looking back into the shore. Everyone is hoping they will be able to save the lake.

@maggie2 The dam breast is bad,and they needed to drain the lake. Now they are not sure they are going to be able to rebuild it due to the expense. $6.2 million

@altadc @sarasdadandmom It was all a planned lake draining due to the dam breast being in poor shape. They found a crack in the foundation so they decided to drain it. Now all we do is wait and see if they can get the money to repair the breast.

Great shot showing the amount of water that's been drained. One thing I do know, when people band together and really want to make a difference or improve something, they can. So I think there's a chance your lake will be saved by the efforts of those who really care about it.
