Rub Away Your Problems by digitalrn

Rub Away Your Problems

When life becomes chaotic and congested with problems, wouldn't it be nice to have a remedy to suppress and decongest the chaos? Oh my, that would come in handy. Well, in the menawhile, when you get a cold, and you are congested, I swear by thus stuff. It makes it easier to get through the day. My cold is definitely better, and I am glad. Have a good night.
Glad it helped :)

Wish it would work on the stomach virus! I'm tired of feeling sick!

I have found the remedy of rubbing it on the bottom of your feet (and then put on socks) to sleep really does work for me! Get well!!

I also like this stuff! It smells bad...but does help! I've never heard of putting it on my feet. Interesting. I learned something today. I hope you feel even better tomorrow.

Glad you are feeling better. This stuff works miracles.

I didn't know that it came in tubes! But, it's great stuff. Just got over mine, Rick. Hang in there friend . . this 2nd time around doesn't last long. Love the photo!

Does this smell like the old Vicks in a blue jar? My cold is better during the day but hits me hard at night. Getting my voice back but cough some now. Geez, I will be glad to see it go! Hang in there and thanks for the tip!

Awesome memories of Mom rubbing it on and feeling so much better.Great shot.

I love Vicks Vaporub! But I'd never heard of putting it on your feet. I will have to try that if I get a cold- but hopefully I won't have to. So far it's been a pretty healthy winter for me! Glad to hear you're feeling better!!

A friend of mine said he uses it for arthritis of the hands. My wife tried it and it seemed to work, except for the smell. However, it needs to be the cream, not the blue jar stuff.
January 26th, 2012
@sarasdadandmom Oh you got that right. We can rub some of this on her feet (the blue jar is greesy) then she'll have a hard time catching us as we run away LOL.

I used to hate it when I was a kid because it took my breath away.....but I like it now....it's a comfort when we need it.

I just want to know if you smell like my grandfather? :) I'm so glad you feel better.

I love Vicks! When I was little and had a cold, my Granny would have me rub it on my chest. She would give me a cloth warmed by the fire to pin in my nightgown. It was wonderful for a cold. I will always associate the smell with my Granny. I always keep a jar on hand. :0)

I can smell it from here in California!

Vicks is great stuff, what a difference an ocean makes to the packaging though - it comes in green tubs with blue lids here! Hope you're continuing to mend
January 26th, 2012
Well this is intriguing Rick !! We have Vicks vapour rub but it's in a small blue jar...is this the modern version I wonder ?

Looks good for an advert. Nicely captured.

I remember this stuff! We had the small blue jar that Pat mentioned when I was a kid. It really would be nice if there was a version of this that worked on problems bigger than a head cold!
January 26th, 2012
Hope you feel much better soon! Definitely put it on the bottom of your feet with socks when you go to bed. Amazing results!

Here's to Vicks who makes our maladies more bearable! Glad you're on the upswing. No doubt due in part to Vicks!
January 26th, 2012
Oh yea, my mum still gets me some sort of heat rub. Really a miracle worker :)
January 26th, 2012
@happypat Pat this is a new greaseless version, not as messy, but they still have the little blue jar. My Mom used to melt it and rub it on our chest and then cover it with a towel so we could sleep at night.
January 26th, 2012
Glad to hear you are feeling better!
January 26th, 2012
I didn't know they still made it. My mom used to rub it on our chests too when we were kids. I remember it being rather harsh. Eclectic subject; how do you think of these things?
January 26th, 2012
@carmichaelbev It's called desperation for a photo
January 27th, 2012
Yes, they do help a lot.
