Early this evening we were hit by a pretty nasty storm. We had a lot of rain, and some strong winds that lasted about a half hour. The sky looked fierce. This shot is much less threatening than it was about 10 minutes prior. Till the worst was over, I stayed inside. It reminded me of the old hymn, Till The Storm Passes By. It was my Grandmother's favorite. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0JQX25fnDGE&feature=player_embedded
Well captured. We have certainly had our share of fierce storms this summer, and from what I read in the paper today. It is likely the frequency will continue to increase.
I stood at the back door and tried to capture the movement of the trees. I haven't uploaded them yet to see what they look like but they were swaying quite a bit. Interestingly there was a Carolina wren just singing away in the middle of it all! Nice shot Rick- and I enjoyed the hymn too!
Thas is a beautiful hymm. The rain was most likely welcomed but what about the winds...hopefully no trees or properties were destroyed. still an awesome sky.
