I had this little book on the shelf for a few years, and never read it. The other night I picked it up and began reading, and it fits quite well, as I was thinking that one of my goals for this year is to try to live a simpler life. In her book, "Keep It Simple" Ellyn Sanna wrote this one section which pretty much hits the nail on the head. It is up to us to make room for peace. It is up to us to say no to some of the "unnecessary" responsibilities. We'll see how the year fares out. Here's trying to keep it simple, as I try to make room for a more peaceful, and simpler life.
Wonderful words...and Henry David Thoreau would agree. He lived simply and believed that "Life was frittered away by detail." It's just not easy to live simply!
