After supper tonight, Josie and I drove through the wildlife preserve. We were hoping to see some deer, but no deer. Everything was so quiet, and as the sun began to settle in, the lighting was so beautiful on the trees and water. When we were younger we used to make jokes about our Parents and Grandparents how they used to drive around the country just to see the countryside. Why would they ever do that? Oh my, how time has passed. Now we are doing the same thing LOL.
Peaceful and serene. I have to chuckle though- Jeff and I did a lot of nature walks when we dated or made bread together. I do miss that! So we've done the reverse- crazy as it seems.
