Miracle Daisy by digitalrn

Miracle Daisy

I call this my miracle daisy. For those of you who are "professional" florists, and gardeners, not too big a miracle I know, but for me it is. Don't steal my thunder. This is one of the several plants that died on us, well at least we thought it had died. I decided to replant it, and after replanting it I snipped every dried flower off the plant, nothing left but green sticks. Josie just laughed at my efforts. She insisted it is gone forever. Ah ha! Well as you can see it is not gone, and there are many more buds just waiting to open. Not certain, but I believe this is a Gerbera Daisy. Please correct me if I am wrong. I can take it.
I'm not sure of a Gerbera daisy but I like the story - I snipped a daisy type growth off one growing over the footpath and put it in but it died - not enough moisture, I think! I like your red in the background to match the reddish shade near the centre of the flower!

My husband said he'd have to see some of the foliage to identify it. How big is the plant?

Well, I'm impressed and would certainly consider it a miracle. I don't think it's a Gerbera Daisy. They look like this: http://www.bhg.com/gardening/plant-dictionary/annual/gerbera-daisy/. I think it's a common daisy but it's beautiful!

Beautiful bright image -it would be easier to detect the species if the foliage was visible -- but who cares as it's a miracte !!
