Singing The Blues

Blue Windows that is. Every time I drive past this house I can't help but think, "My goodness, what were you thinking?" I guess I have no taste.
Cool house. Sara and I have always wanted to carry around post it notes and when we see something like this, leave a note and say ," what were you thinking? LOL

Great photo . . wondered at first if you had processed it this way. LOL No . . your taste is fine, Rick. This is a little too NEON blue. :)

Amazing colors! I agree...What were they thinking? If only the house could tell us!

@sarasdadandmom . I dare you too, and then take photos of your little notes... lol maybe catch a reaction or two.. lol

I dont know,, looks cool.. but then again I have been I am pretty tasteless at times.. lol
December 31st, 2011
Well I wouldn't do it, but certainly is cheery. :)

That's definitely blue. When I see a house that has similar color tastes I always think "that must have been clearance paint" or something like that. Somehow...it's interesting!

They were thinking, "How can we make these red bricks POP?" I don't know- it's weird- part of me likes the blue and the other part thinks it's a tad overdone. Maybe I just didn't get enough sleep last night and I'm punchy! Great shot Rick and I agree with Nikkers- @sarasmomanddad Terry get those post it notes and post away!!

It's so it will be easy to find!!! They tell their visitors, "Just look for the house with the blue windows." It also makes it easy for the neighbors to tell people how to find THEIR house!! ;)

Wow, great building but I think I would change the blue!!
December 31st, 2011
I hope they got that paint for free. Of course, I don't have to tell you but this house is clearly haunted. lol
December 31st, 2011
What the heck??? I would love to see the inside of this house if it is occupied. I would love to ask them what they were thinking! Thanks for the photo that started the "What were you thinking" conversation! Fun

Those are some... bold color choices. I suppose it works on a house from that era, but wow.
December 31st, 2011
Oh no, Rick. You have taste. :)
December 31st, 2011
It's a lovely house. Maybe the paint was on sale. :0)

December 31st, 2011
Still a good looking building!! Hope you and the family have a Happy New Year Rick!!
December 31st, 2011
it is a pretty amazing colour combination - people sometimes like their houses standing out
December 31st, 2011
Lovely building - well kept for sure. I agree with you, I don't think I would have used that colour for my windows.
December 31st, 2011
Wonderful architectural detail.
December 31st, 2011
Noone can overlook this monstrosity..don't look at it too often...fear you might get blinded....great catch though Rick.
December 31st, 2011
A big mistake to my mind but there is no accounting for taste !!!
December 31st, 2011
Nooo! This is so wrong. What were they thinking indeed. Nicely done though.
December 31st, 2011
To each his own. Looks like a lovey house "gone bad".
December 31st, 2011
must take a lot of work - not sure i would pick this colour scheme
January 1st, 2012
Very...bright! I suppose it's easy to make sure their friends find the right house when they visit...

January 3rd, 2012
