The Creation Of An Abstract by digitalrn

The Creation Of An Abstract

This is my daily entry in the 5 Weeks In May Challenge, Abstract. Some may say, well this really isn't an abstract, because it looks like a flower. Well you are right, it is a flower, but this photo is not what it appears to be at all, so in that respect I guess it could be considered an abstract. Now before you flood my posting with all the kind, flattering comments about how well I paint, and how artistic I am, let me tell you, I am not painting. I'm faking it, LOL. I am only holding the brush. Now I have painted before, and I enjoy it, but this one has already been created. Remember, things are not always as they appear.
Lovely

This is really cool! You may not be painting this but this is an artistic shot!

Cool shot! And I like the way you manipulated the reality of the scene to create an interesting shot!

I like how it seems that the light is coming from underneath your "painting". So is this not even a painting but a lampshade? Very nice.

I knew you were faking by the way you hold the brush, Rick. It's a beautiful abstract. Great job.

@sangwann @olivetreeann Dione, good observation. And Ann, yes, the light is coming from underneath. It is the lampshade on my Grandmother's old floor lamp, and I think the light highlights the photo very well.
