I've always lived a simple life, not one for a huge magnificent mansion on a hill, and the big expensive cars, though I would love to own a Viper one day, LOL, but seriously, simplicity is all I've ever known. I've never done a lot of traveling, I've been working since I'm 13 years old, and through the years have often worked more than one job. Life can be hectic, but the truth of the matter is, I enjoy the simplicity of the life I've known. I consider myself very fortunate to have my health, a closely knit family, and a job that I truly enjoy. With the realization that at any moment, my life's situation could change, if this is as good as it is going to get, then I can honestly say, I have lived a satisfied life. I am indeed thankful for all the simple things in life.
Your commentary is always heartworming, always carries a message of some kind.. I agree with you completely..simple in this respect is a good way to live and be happy.
A striking pic. And your words of wisdom really make it. When my turn to go to God's waiting room I hope I get staff like you. Worked out the other day that I have been working for 52 years and have only just retired
There's something to be said for recognizing what you have, and appreciating the simple -- such an inspiring and healthy message. Great words to match your image.
Very rarely in life do I meet another who is truly content with their lot in life. I have traveled ... but I have not collected the 'stuff' - believing that health, family, friends and life experiences are way more rewarding than material goods.
I appreciate your words - love your photo! The whole thing is a fav for me.
