I took a drive through the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery this afternoon which is always a humbling experience. I spotted this lovely Lady. Just before I took this photo, she was turned the other way, her head down as it is in this shot, just standing there, paying her respects to a Husband, Son, Daughter or Grandchild who served our Country. Just as I was about to take the photo she turned around, so I took the shot. Her body language says it all. A deep sense of sadness over her loss, and love, and I believe a faithful visitor, determined never to forget.
We watched Murph today and I was reminded of the sacrifices that many men and women make every day for us to enjoy our freedoms. It was an amazing movie. We were headed to Arlington National Cemetery but didn't make it today. This is a gorgeous shot. The black and white really captures the sadness.
