A small collection of Josie's cookbooks she has available. We very seldom eat at home anymore. With our schedules, it makes more sense to go out for meals, but yet in a way we miss it. We still try to do special meals around holidays, and during the warmer months when we do cookouts and picnics. Perhaps when life slows down a bit more we may then get back into the practice.
It's such a chore when both of you work full time and eating out is so much easier and less work after a busy day. just wonder how you're making out with keeping your weight down.
Those books look lovingly set there... I suspect she's a good cook, too. Our fall back on an unimaginative night is a bag of PF Chang stir-fry Chinese food (we find them at Target and WalMart in the frozen packaged foods) I think they're delicious...and it's not too much, calorie-wise...
@bruni So far so good Bruni. This June it will have been my 3rd year since taking off the pounds. A few pounds here and there, and then taking them back off, it's a constant battle.
Interesting collection, Rick, and interesting observation regarding cooking. We seem to eat a real home-cooked meal less often than we used to. Since our son grew up and left home, we've become less dinner-oriented and when I do cook, try to make enough so we'll have leftovers for days. Once we retire, I'm hoping I start cooking more -- and Dan has high hopes that he's going to help more cooking. We'll see how that goes.
Lovely capture. Same thing here, with the kids around every day and their parents coming along to collect them and very often having a snack here, too, it is too hectic for Christine to indulge in special recipes.
