When Josie and I pulled into our driveway after work we saw two ducks, this male, and a female wandering around a grassy area out back. By the time we walked into the back yard, this guy came waddling up to our back gate and began quacking. I grabbed a few pieces of bread from the fridge, went out to the gate where he was waiting and tossed him a few pieces. We have cats wandering the neighborhood, so I am hoping Momma doesn't have eggs nearby, because if there are baby ducklings wandering around, their lives will be short. Anyway, this guy gave me a chuckle.
You know I love this! What fun to see others who are being visited! FYI...they love a tray of cat kibble (meow Mix...) and yah...we cross our fingers regarding the babies and cats...
Funny! I hope the babies won't be eaten by kitties, although they probably have kittens to feed too. Hard to know who to root for sometimes. Beautiful portrait.
