The Space Shuttle Enterprise will be driven by barge up the Hudson River from NJ to the Intrepid on Weds 6/6. Any NYC 365ers in the area that morning may get some amazing photos as it makes its journey by the Statue of Liberty, the World Trade Center and finally up to the Intrepid. Once there, it will be hoisted by a crane up onto the deck where it will become part of the museum exhibit starting 6/19. Here is the link:
@allie912 THis is awesome Allison! I have a photo of it IN the Dulles Air and Space Museum and have been awed by the journey its taking to get to the Intrepid.
@chauncygirl Bad news..I went down at 10am- nothing. (Which by the way, makes no sense since Jersey City, Lady Liberty, and WTC are very close to one another).
Went to the window at 10:30- saw nothing. Went down again at 11:30 since most other articles posted that time....nothing. We later found out it was ahead of schedule and passed by at 11am.
Excited!
