I tried unsuccessfully to change my profile photo. I uploaded a new one and it uploaded to the settings page, but it did not change the profile photo on my home page. Can anyone tell me what I'm missing?
It takes "forever" and then there are inconsistencies for a while... where it seems to switch back and forth between the old and the new. Hang in there!
I change mine almost daily & as everyone else has mentioned it does take a little time for it to change in every place. I will notice my pic changes first in the comment areas. The last place I see the change is on my project page. Sometimes when I view the profile pic larger it will be different than the thumbnail pic. Sometimes it updates faster if I change it & then sign out & back in. And sometimes it just takes awhile to update.
There's no mystery: clear your temporary internet files, and you'll see it. Alternately just get to any page with your profile photo on it and, if you're on windows, hit it with a Ctrl+F5 to force it to reload the photo.
Steve, you are a genius! It worked! I have Vista and can never find where to see my temp files so I just did the Ctrl+F5 and it worked just like that!! Thanks!
