The upsetting photos stick in my mind. I wish they didn't...now they are burned in there...makes me so sad. I'd prefer to stay in my own little happy art world and pretend none of that horrible stuff happened. :( The photos of September 11th here in the US got me the most. I remember that day like it were yesterday. Where I was, what I was doing. I remember going to class and one of my professors had canceled class because her husband worked at the twin towers. My son was also born on that day, 7 years later. Quite a range of emotions I have for September 11th.

Wow, this breaks my hart, moves me and amazes me. How much can happen in a decate and what do people do to one another... I remember nr. 12 from my newspaper, so it made an impression.

10 years...that's just under 2/3 or my life. I can't believe what a world we live in sometimes. Firstly, I didn't realise quite how many natural disasters there'd been... Secondly...what are we doing?! Can we not all just live in peace? Is there really need to kill, hurt and destruct people...? :(
