Hey - I'm no professional, in fact for me this is a portfolio:
Last year in my twenties: thoughts and sights
But for those trying to find inspiration - which I know I am.....
Sunset and sunrise, especially now we're going into the time change in the next few weeks with Daylight savings ending here, beginning in the Northern Hemisphere. Makes it easier to make one of them!
Always a good idea, a bit over-photographed but there are plenty of ways to make them interesting. My favourites are including skylines (shoot it so the houses are totally black), focusing on the clouds instead of the sun itself, as well as leaving the sun out of the picture entirely and just shooting a normal photo, but with the orange-red sky taking up most of the picture.
Also sunsets are great for photography in general, because they completely change the colours so let you get some really moody photos.
I just took a sunrise shot this morning...the houses are as "black" as I could make them (without editing the photo) and I added some reflective elements....
