New to Photography - Feedback and Tips Needed

Hi everybody! I am new to photography. I bought a Nikon d90 a few years ago but haven't done much with it. Then my son was born and I really wanted to document every moment of his life. I started researching photography and decided to start a 365 project of my son. I would appreciate any tips and advice since I have so much to learn.
