Follow people, comment on their photos, and see what comes from it. Also, get involved in discussions, contests, etc on the site. It will get you more noticed!
It's also a good idea to let people know what you want critique on (e.g. composition, lighting, crop, the specific shooting technique used etc) rather than just saying "What do you think of this?" A generic statement like that will often scare people off as "what I think" is very subjective and may not result in the feedback you want.
Ya i would also agree with just posting pictures, joining discussions and commenting on photos. When you upload a photo put in the detail box that you would love advice & critique :]
In another thread I proposed tagging your photo "critique-me". I've emailed the admin here to see if we could get a "Critique me" menu option under "Browse" I'll update the other thread with whatever I find out.
Post on others, ask for critiques on the actual photo you want comments on, and keep involved in 365. Most people are really good at taking the time to comment back on your shots if you comment on theirs...
Interesting thread:-)I'm new to this so good to get a feel of the way things work! I already have ended up following poeple and i am totally amazed and inspired by the high standard of photos here. I have commented on a few already not that i know a great deal about photography but i always think poeple should get recognition for great pics!
