True Black/White balance???

I'm still trying to figure out proper, true black/white photos. Any suggestions regarding this image?

Can you see a histogram for this image? Depending on the contrast you want, you can tell a lot from the histogram with black and white photos. This article might be useful if you use Photoshop, or even if you don't.

As for the photo, I think it is very nice - there's a low contrast with the subjects, but they are in high contrast to the background.

I love my b&w pictures high contrasty. My mentor always told me a true black&white picture should always have a pure black spot and a pure white spot in it, otherwise it's just a greyish&grey picture

I SECOND @vuokkovuorinnen that's why most of my black and whites, Blacks are black, whites are white.. =) even if i go high key or low key.. =)
