just a little tip....you might find that more people will comment/critique if you do so on theirs first....i didn't know this either until i posted a similar thread and was told this...follow, follow, follow those who "speak" to you with their photos... many reciprocate! happy shooting!
Yes, you need to build up relationships with people first. No one is going to look at a picture and give any critical feedback until they have had a few "conversations" with you.... It would hurt someone terribly if a total stranger just jumped up and said "that's a terrible shot... you should have...." When pictures are good folk will automatically comment. so yes, you do need to check out the popular or latest pages and take a closer look at what other people are doing, making encouraging comments when you really like something and even picking up tips from what other folk have said.
Not every picture will get a comment and not everyone will have time to comment on each shot either.
The 365 project is for you... not for the comments you get. Comments are the bonus but not expected. It isn't a teaching site - although you'll learn a great deal. It is just a way to document your life in 2010 and share it with the world if they care to look.
