...when you purchase new accessories for your camera? I just ordered a new speedlite and softbox for my Canon and am positively giddy. I have a feeling this is something only another photographer would truly get, lol!
Only yesterday, my neighbour took delivery of my new light box, i sat there thinking " you can see my car!! i'm home now!!.. bring me my light box!!" they did and i love it.. Now i need another new toy to be on it's way..
oh yes, very excited....I am picking up my brand new camera tomorrow...yikes....I have taken the leap....and buying a Canon.....I'm not sure I really have the money, but my current DSLR is not very well, and it's time I upgraded...am beyond excited !
Haha, my most recent purchase was a large crystal ball, and I checked the mail every day until it arrived :) I hold it, stare at it, roll it around, look at things through it, polish it, shine light on it, look at it in the dark, and even tried to put it in my pocket but my pocket was too small so I abandoned that idea and put it on the table and looked at it some more. On rare occasion, I have even taken a photograph of it :) Ya, I was pretty excited about it, and still am :) LOL
My Fed-ex delivery girl knows me so well. Sometimes she will make a special stop for me if she notices I'm on her delivery list! But I live in a small town...

im having trouble containing my excitement that the husband reckons we can afford to upgrade my camera, i dont think we can so I dont want to get too excited but i went and researched them today and found some great deals and now im all fidgity cause i would love a new toy but if I was really sensible i shouldn't be buying one!! i might just have to go for a new uv filter cause i recked my last one doing bubble shots!
I just recieved my infrared remote controller yesterday. The most exciting thing about that was that it cost $3.69 (free postage) and it actually works!!!!!!
Stacy, it is like Christmas many times each year when new camera stuff arrives. I got a speedlite in 2009. Struggled with it for 2 years then this book was published: http://www.amazon.com/Speedliters-Handbook-Learning-Speedlites-ebook/dp/B004JXXKYW I cannot stress enough how incredibly helpful the book is on using Canon Speedlites. It not only teaches you every detail about the buttons and settings on the speedlite and your camera, it also has lots of good advice on lighting different types of shots. So it covers the technical and the artistic side of speedliting. It may be the best $22 you can spend!
