This is my second go around with the 365 project, I am failing terribly :(
I have been playing with the idea of doing a 12 month challenge. My general thought was to pick a theme of some sort each month and shoot that... not so much things like flowers etc but more out of the box type stuff like space (e/g personal space, wide open spaces, tight spaces etc) I really would like to learn new skills and keep taking pictures non makeup related. So my question is can you help me pick my 12 themes?
It's going to be hard...but try to fit yourself into a cardboard box and take a photo to reveille a tight space....or someone you know who would be happy to help you. Hope this helps.
In the style of xyz. Find other photographers who have a style and copy for a while. Learn how they do what they do and it it to your skill set. Some of the people in here would work and many others out on the web.
Maybe its just me, but I wouldn't want to shoot the same subject all month long. I would find that boring. If I were going to undertake something like this I'd go frome a 12 month challenge to a 52 week challenge instead. That way it would remain fresh knowing that every week I was going to tackle a new subject.
@tracywilliams -- Plus you'd have to consider those that follow you. Would they want to see some variation of the same subject for 31 days straight? Probably not. I'd bet that no matter how good your photo's turned out, by the third week most people would be like "Enough already!!" Maybe even you too! LOL!
@tracywilliams Do some breaking the rules things... this week is breaking the rules, portrait... you'd be able to squeeze some of those in amongst your usual daily stuff! Over expose....ummm boxes... literal boxes.
@5unflow3r but your selfies were fun! @tracywilliams You have to find your gift, perhaps look at other artists and art mediums not just photographs, I agree a month would be too long for me on one theme.
I've been using a theme each month for year two, but I've kept them intentionally vague.
January was goals.
February was lighting.
March was simplify.
April is get outdoors.
Others I am leaning toward would be things like aperture, zoom, using just one lens ... I agree with the above comments that a single subject would get old quick.
@svenskaflicka@kwiksilver@debbim@httpgeffed@archaeofrog Thanks so much everyone for your input I have some fabulous ideas in mind :) My list is growing with broad subjects to make sure variety is available :D I have a few weeks left to fill but I am sure ideas will come as the project progresses.

@daviddobedoe I really like that idea David thanks heaps :)
@tracywilliams Are you after specific ideas? There are the monthly ones I've seen too, where it's a shot a day set out...??
@tracywilliams Let me have a think and see what I can come up with :)
