For my year twelve photography I need to take 5 photos that represent the lyrics and meaning of the song. After a lot of looking and swapping iv finally chosen 'Jet lag' by simple plan. I would love some ideas of possible photos I could take, I'm also aloud to edit the photos so any ideas would be great!!! Thanks x

It looks like you've chosen a song with a lot of good words: Car, Time, Driving,Phone, Midnight, Sunset and more. Perhaps if you thought of this as a music video and created a scene or two and did others in a more abstract artistic way, for example, just a sunset this task would not seem so overwhelming.
The point of such an assignment is to get you to give your personal interpretation, which is why you probably wont' get a flood of responses here.
Recently there was a one night challenge in which every day was a different style of photography: Street, Macro, Low Light, Selfie, SOOC, Long exposure and b&w. You could also choose five styles and show your range as a photographer that way. Or choose one style, like just b&w or just street photography and shoot all five photos in that style.
From the grades you received in this class you know best what will impress the teacher.
The line 'I keep your picture in my car' should be good. I reckon a photo propped up next to the dashboard and the driver (you?) looking at it as they drive along. Obviously don't actually be driving though.
I tend to agree with Sheila that it should be your interpretation - the idea of choosing different styles to represent different parts of the song could work very well. The ring on a book casting a heart shadow might work as a close-up? As you're near water look out for a sunset/silhouette... they can always have that faraway look about them and a panoramic shot might suit the song...?
