wedding albums

I was asked a question today and didn't know the answer...so I thought I'd throw it to you guys.
My husband's co-worker was just married in the Dominican and would like to make a nice album of his photo's. (all printed 6x8 by the photographer which I think is odd) Apparently they've looked everywhere!

Does anyone know of a place to get nice albums online?

Photobox, heres a link to one that I did, you can choose any size, re size etc... http://www.photobox.co.uk/1xC8C8A7/creation/1278547326?cid=puksecs001&channel=1180

: )

Its worth signing up to them as they're always doing special deals.

That's a bit of an odd size. It's normally 7x5 or 10x8.It's a shame that they've got them printed out rather than having the digital images as I do all my photobooks for clients through blurb. Sorry...that's not much help but maybe they could backtrack and email the photographer for the digital images instead. Or maybe scan the images in and make a photobook.

You can buy lovely albums with thick paper pages where you stick the pics in yourself using corner things or sticky dots?

If they are getting an album to fix the photos into, (as per Bluebell's suggestion), be sure that the pages are acid free. A quality album (often) has black acid free paper to mount the photos and tissue paper that goes over the top. If they are going to scan the photos, and have a photo book printed, they will need to use a good quality scanner - else there could be a colour variation between the original pic and the scanned one.

Not sure where you are located. I bought one many years ago from an 'art supply' store - and have since seen them in good quality stationers. A reputable photo lab - or photographer could also be a source. If you do a search on 'acid free photo album' you may get a hit. I googled 'acid free dry mount photo album' and came up with this website in Australia (one of many 'hits') http://www.photoalbumshop.com.au/category1_1.htm.

Thanks so much guys! I've talked to him and he DOES have a disc. They were given a cheesy frame for their favourtie shot and nothing would fit!
Since he has the disc, I suggested printing his own sizes OR making a photobook. Found this great site....
