Searching for my style

I have decided that I am going to throw myself out there and start getting some practice on some of my friends and their family. I am not worried about the whole photography or sessions part. It's the processing part that I need work on I believe.

I have an idea of the style that I want to make mine. I actually found the perfect set of actions except I do all my editing on LR instead of PS. Before I start getting into PS (if I have to) I was wondering if you guys know of a site that offers Presets with the similar style as the link below. I've been searching and so far no luck.

BTW, I've already looked through previous discussions regarding LR presets.

Any help or guidance will be greatly appreciated.

www.picmonkey.com is a good place to go if you are looking to edit the pictures.

Hi @rayg86 ive done a lot of preset searching as well. Most free presets that I have found have been "overdone" There are a few by Seim Effects that I really like. http://prophotoshow.net/seim_effects/category/free-lightroom-presets/

Theres also MCP Actions & Presets and Pretty Presets are the best places to buy presets. Let me know if you have any questions. Ive downloaded a ton of presets for lightroom.

Presets of any kind are starting points only. Your pictures will dictate what will work or not. Every situation is different due to colors and light. You will probably find yourself tweeking the settings. Once you have something you like, LR allows you to copy/paste the setting to any pictures you are working on. If you really like the settings, you can save them as a preset in LR to reuse later.

@adriana12345 @shutterbugger @shortperson2002 Thank you for your input! I checked some of those sites out and I found some presets that I liked.
@dmortega, I agree with you. I have several that I have tweeked and use often. If I could find some that are very similar to the site I posted that will make my life a lot easier. I see more PS actions than anything.

I have gone through these sites and kept the ones I love:
http://photo.tutsplus.com/articles/post-processing-articles/100-free-lightroom-presets-and-how-to-make-your-own/
http://www.flickr.com/groups/presets/discuss/72157612664073371
http://www.ononesoftware.com/products/lightroom-presets/

But they are a starting point, and I NEVER use one without adjustments and tweaking to the individual photo.

I have a love hate relationship with the artsy colored ones. I am afraid they are a fad, so i try to keep many with true colors and but I still use them because it has become a part of my style too.

@rayg86 There is a thing called a preset fader. I suggest downloading the plug in. I dont like to over do my images so this fades the intensity of the preset really nicely.
