Snowflakes

After seeing so many amazing snowflake shots, I thought I'd share. To be honest, until 365 I never even realised they looked like that! I thought it was just for illustration.

Love them so much. I doubt my camera could do it with the lens I have, perhaps my PS on a macro setting, maybe? @lisjam1

@miley89 They are amazing, aren’t they?! I have DSLR and a macro lens which is how I captured my snowflakes. I’m not sure if you can capture it with a P&S on macro, but perhaps it’s possible. Last summer I managed to get some good shots of a tiny flower that wasn’t any bigger than my second snowflake above using my P&S. Some of my friends have said the hardest part is finding an isolated snowflake that doesn’t melt. I took my photos on my daughter’s car windshield after it had been sitting overnight outside. It has been fairly cold here so I had no problem with melting. The blue background comes from changing the white balance to tungsten in post processing.
