As a game developer i see some amazing art from our artists every day (not too mention in the numerous games i play all the time too).
This website celebrates and highlights some of the incredible art seen in games, through the use of screenshots (arguably a form of photography). In the sites own words it:
"focuses on ‘videogame photography’, an attempt to portray the drama, spectacle and beauty of games using angles and subjects beyond the player experience.
The site’s mission is simple: to celebrate the medium, explore the unseen and fire the imagination."
Remember- everything you see in these shots has to be designed, concepted, modelled, textured and then placed into context. Needless to say i love my job, being surrounded by this sort of artistic endeavour every day.
Good site. I've been telling my son this is a whole new field for future employement for several years now. Gaming is big, really big and I don't see any end for this field.

Thank you very much for the link, as well as being amazed at just how many of the games I recognised it does show very well how cinema and video games are now stepping on each others' toes.
