I don't see much underwater photography on this site. I used to do alot of it, and you may periodically see u/w photos from me. I may scare up a few old ones and post them on here for grins and giggles.
In the meantime, I thought you might enjoy what others are doing.
If you ever get the chance to try it, its quite an adventure. Try getting focus when the currents are taking you and your equipment for a ride! Lighting is a completely different situation, and judging distance underwater -- well, that's just HARD!
But the first photo you're proud of makes you forget all the trials and tribulations!
And, to show off the work of a friend of mine -- she only uses available light, shoots only in black and white on film and uses an old Nikonos. Her talent is in the darkroom.

I would love to do this but don't have a camera that can get wet, a underwater housing unit or an ocean near by. Love looking at underwater photography - reminds me of when I went snorkeling years ago
