Sorry if this has already been covered but I searched and haven't found any recent discussions.
Since I will be using my ipad for some of my 365 photos I am curious if you all do any editing with apps and if there are any you would recommend.
A few apps I have already tried... Snapseed, photoforge 2, and Befunky.
I've been looking into this a bit lately, too. I'll be travelling without access to a PC for 7 weeks in July/August and want to stay on top of my daily shots.
Of the apps I've tried, I still think Snapseed is the best. I'm a big fan of Nik Software (now owned by Google) and think their app gives the greatest flexibility. I'd be interested in hearing if anyone has tried others which they believe are better.
I use Photogene the most -- I like the histogram and curves options it offers. Snapseed is my second favorite. Photopad is okay. I hate PS Express. 100 Cameras is totally ridiculous .
There are so many different categories. For example, filters, fun effects, layering, collage & frames, artistic. The app I use the most for basic editing is Snapseed. Glaze is a great app for giving an artistic effect. I use superimpose for layering because it is easy to use. I do all of my editing on my iPad.
I have used Photoshop Express and Photoshop Touch. I paid for one of them, can't remember which now, I think PS Touch. They both have heaps of effects and you can use layers etc.
@amyamoeba@dolphin thanks Molly for the kind words, Amy should know who I am as I quite often comment on her pics. @zazenaura my 365 is very much me shooting with, editing with and reviewing iPhone/pad apps. Check it out if you want.
Must admit though like many of the other comments Snapseed tends to be my goto app, especially when I'm short on time, and even when I do use/ review another app in my picture of the day, I tend to use Snapseed for at least part of the edit.
Photowizard is good.
And Percolator is just addictive fun! Haha! It "brews" your pics with these circles and shapes and you can "rebrew" them over and over until you get an effect you like.
Shutter is one that lets you do long exposures and light trails.
btw....Photowizard has some more serious tools than Snapseed like working with masking and clone tool, etc... I usually use Snapseed and then when I need some serious help like the ones above, I throw it over to Photowizard for that.
