I've just started doing a little project within 365, which came about from looking up the history of the places and streets where I've been taking pictures. I'm now finding old photographs of places in London, then returning to the exact same spot and taking a new photo. Not sure why, but it's kind of entertaining.
I thought some of you might want to try a similar thing - fun and educational!
great idea Sim. looking forward to it i did a similar thin on views and shmews with Loughboura Junction but didnt get the exact place....so oi failed ha ha http://rg37.wordpress.com/
Simon, this is an excellent concept! I just took a look at your photos, and the comparison is breath-taking! I can't wait to see more, and am thinking of doing a few myself in Los Angeles.
Oh, how wonderful! I'm a big time-travel fan, and this seems like such a cool way to take that trip back in time. I thought about doing a project like this here in Chicago, but never got around to it, so I'm very anxious to see your project as it develops. :-)
Funny how photos have to be cropped to match - It seems that old cameras have a different field / depth.
