I realize that I am suggesting this a couple of days late but I don’t think it is ever too late to be grateful. I have been posting a status update daily on Facebook with something I am grateful for and thought it might dovetail nicely with my 365 project. I will go back to 11/1 and add my comment about what I am grateful for and will continue to do so until Thanksgiving. I invite you to do the same. I know it can be hard to be positive when so many of us are struggling but I know that if we look closely enough, and try and move past the negativity for a bit, you will find you have many things to be grateful for as well. Gratitude does not have to translate into strict seriousness so I invite you to join me and have fun. Tag your photos with “Gratitude” and let us see what we are grateful for. =)
What a good idea... I know I am definitely struggling and stressing out because of senior year and all... but I am so fortunate compared to others and I need to be thankful for what I have; in turn, doing so and looking on the positive side is bound to make me feel better :)
Autumn :-) You beat me to the punch line. I am doing a "thankful Thanksgiving" project I thought of, closer to Thanksgiving.....
Basically, I am going to take portraits, or photos of the PEOPLE whom I am thankful that are in my life. Parents, relatives, friends, etc etc. Tell why they are thankful, and yadda yadda yadda. So, look for mine to start in a week or so :-) All the people that are in my life, that I am thankful for :-)
Well, what a coincidence. I started a daily gratitude posting on facebook a year ago and have been posting ever since. I'm doing a year long look at what I am grateful for and am fast approaching the end of it as I'm up to 347 today. I should finish right before Thanksgiving.
I highly encourage everyone to join in this because even when things are at there worst we can still find something to be grateful for each and every day.
@autumnseden --- Yes, it is. Creating a habit of looking for something everyday has been challenging at times but I have always found something. One thing I have really noticed is that I am focusing on the positive more easily than before. Cementing a positive outlook in my brain. It seems to be rubbing off on others as well. That has been a very good thing for me. On my last day I will be posting a tribute picture here to share.
Having been in Africa, I am even grateful for having a bog that is not a hole in the ground with cockroaches twitching at you in the torchlight!! Do check out the 'TEDxToronto - Neil Pasricha "The 3 A's of Awesome"
www.youtube.com. This guy got his life on track by being grateful for all that he had in his life and might inspire.
This is a great idea. I have been doing this for years on and off. Having been in Africa, I am grateful that I have a proper loo that flushes instead of a hole in the ground with scurrying coachroaches, their antennae twitching in the torch light! There is a great video that might inspire this theme - a guy called Ted got himself out of a deep hole by being grateful for what he had. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ajKMkIXN1eg
@joannemed@miranda@wellbride@rlowen@scarlett33 I am glad to see such a positive response and look forward to seeing all of your photos. Be sure to tag them with "gratitude" so they are easy to find! =)

@deesdiscoveries I can't wait to see what you post. I am sure family and friends will make it into the mix along the way.
@robv Thanks!
@dmortega Wow! A full year must be a little challenging some days but good for you. Focusing on gratitude is always good for the soul.
