I've noticed with my photos recently I have a smudge on my lens. Very amateur question but how do I best to clean it?? It is a bridge camera so my lens is stuck on my camera... Thanks in advance for helping an amateur!
If the smudge is on the outside of the lens then a good quality lens tissue applied with very gentle pressure would probably do it or use something like a Lenspen would be just as adequate. If its on the inside then that will mean a trip to the local camera shop to get their advice.
Does your bridge camera have a "clean sensor" item in the menus? Usually in the setup menu. if it does, it might be able to shake loose any sensor dust without a trip to the camera store. I'd say much more likely sensor problems than lens problems.
I have just developed one of these spots on my camera phone. :( I'll see what Apple have to say about cleaning it, but probably harder to open up a phone than a bridge camera.
@newbank Lens tissues and lenspens - your local camera shop can help you there or failing that, Amazon or eBay...
Obviously where your lens is a delicate piece of equipment you will want to take some care. Go onto youtube and search for lens cleaning to get some hints and tips.
