For anyone in the Northern California or Southern Oregon area there are two photography seminars that look like fun in July and September. I've signed up for the July seminar. It would be fun if anyone else in the 365 community could join in. Here is the link:
Oh, man, I love Lassen Park. Hardly anyone goes there as it is a bit remote. You'll have a blast taking pictures at Bumpass Hell. (how culd you not with a name like that?) Be sure to bring a macro lens if you have one to catch the details of the bubbling mud baths.
We have a picture that I of course cannot find now of my hand next to a kitty cat paw print that was the size of my palm. I can't remember what hike we were on at the time but seeind that made us a bit wary.
@justaspark Thank you Jule! I wish you could go too! @aponi I once encountered a panther while on a bike ride in my neighborhood when I lived in Florida. Those big cats can be scary! Lassen also has a lot of bears, and I'm assured that each camp site has a bear box but I hope I don't have a close encounter!
@kamen088 Did you go? I was there on vacation 2 weeks ago, and saw the sign. It sounded pretty good!
I'll upload a few pictures from Lassen, but I am so far behind, that it will take some time.
@transatlantic99 I did go and I loved it! I've always gone to the Lava Beds on the east side of the mountains and never to Lassen. I could not believe what I've been missing; I think I could spend a lifetime photographing Lassen. I've been posting my Lassen photos if you want to take a look. Please let me know when you post yours, I would love to see them!
I've been out there a couple of times pre-365 and just love it.
Have fun anyways!
