My Photos Upload from my Computer in All locations Except for my Home

August 10th, 2014
This is an update on a discussion I started a few days ago. I now know that there is no problem with my 365 Project Account. Before suggesting anything, here's what I've tried while uploading photos from my PC while in my home which is in a rural setting:

I opened another 365 Project account and still could not upload photos.
I have a PC and have tried every single browser.
I've tried uploading photos to 365 from my husband's computer at my home, but they won't upload.
I've shut down my computer and restarted several times.
I've tried the Basic Version of the Uploader and it doesn't work.
I've sent emails to my 365 email address and can only get very small file sizes to upload.
My PC computer has no problem uploading photos to email, Facebook, or Dropbox.

What I've discovered, however, is that photos upload instantly from other locations!

Any other suggestions out there????

Thanks so much,

Kareen

I am having trouble right now in BC using a public wifi and was wondering if it was 365 or the wifi.

@fullcircle Interesting observation, Cindy. I believe it's a wifi issue for me, but I sure don't know how to fix it.

I'm having issues uploading today, too. I can't even e-mail them in. I don't know what is up.

@kareenking one other thing I would try is to login from the private/incognito browser of chrome or firefox, then it wont refer to any cookies which could be the issue.

Have you tried to clear the cache, sometimes that works for me when I don't know what else to do.

It sounds like the wifi signal to me, too. Is your computer indicating a good wifi signal? In the bottom right hand corner of my screen there is a 5 bar graph-if I click on it it shows the name of the wifi network, and says "Signal strength excellent". If your signal strength is weak, it would let you send small files but large files may cause it to stall. Out of interest, how big are the files that you are trying to upload? I always reduce mine to less than a megabyte before I upload them, anyway. You can do this by reducing the resolution to 72 lpi (computer monitors work at 72 lpi anyway, so there's not much point going higher than this) and physically reducing the dimensions in a programme like Photoshop or similar. Hope that helps

Today, I'm able to upload pictures again normally. Don't know what the change was.

Have you tried going to your settings and clearing your cookies and history? Whenever I have a strange problem that usually fixes things!

For some reason I have been having problems uploading to picmonkey. I wonder whether it is a similar problem. It seems to be when I upload at about 5.30 or 6pm so wonder whether there are a lot of people trying to upload at about that time
