This shot by @ethelperry got me thinking about spontaneous iphotos
I love the photos that people put on here that they have obviously thought through, planned, and set up. They are compelling and ok intimidating.
That being said some of my favorite shots of mine are ones I took when I wasn't planning on taking any photos and something happened and I shot it with my phone.
like my little buddy getting a drink of water at the vet's office
Wandering along the boardwalk in Kaikoura, the signs said, "Keep a distance of 20m, seals can be dangerous", but this little chap obviously hadn't read the sign!
I was sitting on the sofa familiarizing myself with my camera features when Mojo sat right in front of me looking for some action. I couldn't resist the expression.
this is at the moment - I was sat on a bridge talking to couple of people I was on a walk with, spotted this behind the one and its a grab shot converted to b&w
We were leaving an oyster bar, I had my Nikon with me and saw these three fellas as I was walking back to the boat. Took a very quick shot of them. One of my favorite images I've ever taken:
This one was totally unplanned. I was eating dinner at a restaurant with my cousin's daughter and her two children. Her little daughter was so intent on her coloring while we were waiting for our food. I grabbed my cellphone from my purse and captured her in the moment.
I was out walking the puppy a few days ago and came across these - I thought it was quite funny because they looked like an array of hedgehogs (as I now know a group of hedgehogs to be called!).
i love it and shoot blind a lot,, in town i just walk around with my camera at my hip and keep pressing the shutter, then have to delete most of them, but a FEW are keepers
This one yesterday - just had time to get the lens cap off the camera as Jinks, with a hand from Ray, got a drink courtesy of the flower-arranging ladies in the church:
I was taking pictures and it was more of a ok if it will make you happy shot. Was trying to get pictures of others in the family. You know those people who don't want there picture taken. But are mad when you don't have a nice shot of them. She always poses for me so it was just a fast shot to shut her up.
Ha. MOST of my shots are unplanned. But my faves have to be ones of the people I love. This one is my granddaughter. She's in the shopping basket while my daughter and I were second hand shopping.
At the car wash Thursday I realized I was missing a great chance for abstract photography. By the time I grabbed the camera and could take a shot, the water spray and brushes were done but the guy who was working there was still taking some finishing swipes at the front of the car.
