I uploaded a photo every day last year, a great achievement. Today I was telling someone about it and went to show them. Arrggghhh! They were not there. Have they been wiped? Could I retrieve them if I paid the $19.99?

Presuming your account was still open when you came back to look for the pics then they should still be there. Everyone has a free account, but can upgrade to have multiple albums as am sure you already know. These extra albums disappear when you no longer have an ace account. If you pay, and not too much time has past since you last logged in, then they should still be there. I would check with Ross what his cut off period is for inactivity on an account too, to make sure it's not too late.
Hi @bashereyre it looks like your account was closed because you didn't log in, upgrading will not restore them. You would have had an email before your account was closed asking if you wanted to keep the account open. Unfortunately we can't keep everyone's account active forever if they aren't logging in regularly and using it.
