Quality photo books

Hi all! I've been asked to produce an album for someone. I've tended to use photobox for my own photos, but I'm not especially impressed with the quality of printing. Can anyone recommend a good, but not too pricy, site for creating and printing photo books please (uk based!) Thank you :) x

I am quite content with blurb.com. I had them made a 292 page book with my first 366 photos (leap year). Both quality and software (I use a Mac) are very professional. I think they are from USA but they ship worldwide. Price is subjective and depends on the book you want (number of pages, quality of paper, hardcover or not, etc.). They are not cheap but market conform I suppose. I have to say I was listed for their newsletter and you get 40% from time to time and I waited for that moment because I wasn't in a hurry.
You can still order it ;-) http://nl.blurb.com/b/5147209-366

I've used My Publisher in the past, but they have add-ons that add up very quickly. Further, they have very expensive shipping. Recently I had to re-order about 10 photobooks that were lost when we had a fire. I waited for the $25.00 reorder 'event' that happens a few times a year. However, for each book I tried to re-order with the same features that it had originally, they explained they had a new policy where you have to pay again for any extras used initially. So instead of $25.00, it averaged more than $70.00/book I was reordering. Then, they would not ship them together so I had to pay $11.99/book for shipping -- an additional $120.00 because they explained they had no way they could put them in a single box and ship. I've used Blurb and have found them to be very useful and good quality products.

I've used both My Publisher and Blurb quite often. I prefer the quality of My Publisher and I love their Super Gloss printing. I always wait for the specials so it doesn't get too pricy. I have re-ordered books on their $25 deal and found it annoying that they couldn't ship them together. I also didn't know they'd changed their policy about the add-ons. What I like about Blurb is they have a soft cover option. I've used them for books where some people would like a hard covered copy and others a soft covered copy. My Publisher doesn't do the soft covered book. I hope that helps!
