What qualifies as a mini session? What are we charging and what does the client get?
I was asked to take photos of a husband and wife and I'm not sure what to charge. Suggestions and ideas welcomed please.
Thanks for asking the question; I'd love to have some advice as well! Last summer I was asked to by "an acquaintance" to take her photo for a book jacket. She's published 3 books to date. She didn't offer to pay me, and I hadn't asked, but when I sent her the shots in a small format, she asked for quite a few more, enlarged. We'd spent several hours out taking her photo, and I color corrected several (5) for her. When she asked for a good deal more without offering payment, I told her I charged $60 for the session which included 8 color corrected full sized images. Funny, but when she paid me and said, "I was wondering why you weren't charging anything." I'd like to be better organized in the future! Help, anyone?
