tonality program

Does anyone know of a cheaper or possible a free program similar to what tonality can do? Don't have a lot of money but wanting to try something new for tones. Thanks for taking time to look and possibly help.

Is Tonality a b&w editor? If so a great alternative would be Google Nik collection's Silver Efex Pro. It used to be a paid program, but is now free. I don't use it because I am used to using Lightroom for my B&W edits, but I know many people on here swear by it. Here is a link for it https://www.google.com/nikcollection/products/silver-efex-pro/

Looked at it and it says I have to have photoshop or elements or light room. I am using gimp right now. Cannot afford photoshop. Anything else you can think of? I would have really liked this program.

I use the Nik Collection in standalone mode on a Windows laptop, without LR or PS or anything else. It's easy. Instructions here https://edknepleyphoto.com/2013/06/15/using-the-nik-collection-in-a-stand-alone-mode/

Basically,

1.Download Nik Colletion from Google website and install
2.Open the Google folder to the program you want (to the icon, don't open the program itself)
3. Drag the photo you want to edit (tiff or jpeg) onto the program icon, which will then open the program with the photo ready to go.
4. With Silver Efex Pro you can save your edited photo from the file menu (top left)

I am afraid it sounds to complicated for me to download it right. And I am not sure about windows photo viewer. Never looked into it. Been using picmonkey and now learning gimp. I am such a novice yet. lol.
