Who inspired you to start this? Are they still taking photos for their 365? Have you inspired anyone else to start this year long adventure with photography?

and looks like I've inspired other people to do it too!! I think that's just because I torture and torment and force my pics down their throat. And make them be my models too. hahaa

I'd heard about the 365 randomly i think, online or in a magazine or something. and the only person ive convinced to join has stopped because his laptop crashed. not doing too well haha :(
im here because of this girl from high school that came to visit our school. she showed us her 365 project. she doesnt have a 365project.org account, but she has a flickr. KathyTran

Either my mother or my sister posted the site to facebook a little over a year ago, and I decided to join. This year, several of my friends have joined. Here's my favorite of my freinds' posts:
I started this project after following my friend Jessica Gates' (jessa610) 365 updates on facebook. It was just the boost I needed to start this project...i had wanted to do one a few years ago and never started. Unfortunately with starting back in school and stuff Jessica is not currently posting, but her album is still here, and this is one of my faves of hers
I started because of my friend Chris, who did a photo a day from April 2003 to March 2007. (around 1400 days) I started in September 2004, am still going. I know of at least 21 people who have attempted a photo-a-day because of me. Almost half of them kept it up for at least a year. A few are on their 3rd or 4th year.
I got this site from my friend Meiska when I saw her pictures on Facebook:

I have a friend on Facebook who started a '366 Project' (one shot a day and something extra) which I thought was so fun, so I Googled it to see if there was a site and found 365 :) she says she still takes photos but has stopped uploading them.
I've been the man with the camera in our house. I've bought gradually bigger and better ones, joined flickR and bought photoshop, but ultimatley done nothing substansive with them.
I joined and failed a couple of 365 groups on FlickR on more than one occasion.
Then my wife bought a crossover camera, begun to snap away and took some really nice shots whilst she was at it.
It was her that joined the 365 here and told me about it and seeing as I have a strong male gene (which shows it's self with bouts of child like competitiveness) I joined too and feel that because the wife will be better at keeping this up, then so will I, lol.
She knew what she was getting into when she married me and we hit 12 years this year. She is very a very tolerant person indeed.
I re-read my bio and it still holds true (if you're interested go take a look; I won't bore you here). Googling 365 brought me here. I was also hoping to draw some inspiration as well, to try new things. Turns out that is true - it's already been amazing to look at people's images, dream about them....and really reconsider how to reframe my view of the world! Better than I ever had expected. Thanks so much!!
I'm here because of @Yoori. I saw her pictures on facebook, and thought she just marked them on the net like everybody else. Little did I know that these photographic gems were actually taken by her. She has an eye for beauty in everyday scenes. I wish I had her perception, just for one day.
I am here because of my friend Jason Vare aka Shagpile (or as i call him Shaggydoo) He convinced me to start the project and then he got too busy to continue, which is pretty much the story of his life lol He's a busy musician. This is my fav photo that he uploaded

a couple of girls from work started and posted on facebook - I first looked into it for my hubby as he has a fledgling interest in photography and I thought it would be a good way to get him started. He still hasn't joined or got his camera yet, but I decided to play around with a point and shot model and see where I got with it before I upgraded. Have brought one person over but am about to go do some peer pressure on a few others that I think will really enjoy it

My friend @Stacy Pace mentioned this project, after looking at the amazing photos she's taken, i decided to jump onboard and start growing my mind's eye via digital photography. I aspire to be as creative as she is one day... thanks Stacy!!!

I'm not here because of anyone. I was wanting to do a 365 project for a long time, but was too lazy to host it myself, and I stumbled across this site somehow on a google search (I think I was searching for people who have done a 365 entirely with a Holga).
I'm here because my Hubby had a few (failed) attempts at doing it on Flickr over the years...oh hang on..... what @mrjuggles says but in reverse ; P
I Googled 365 as I was pondering a couple of days before new year ensuring I capture our new life (we have just moved to the most beautiful place and living the dream) and keep up the photos I have been taking to improve, develop and learn how to work my camera better.
I linked to here in my blog & on a parent forum I am part of so I know a few members joined because of those.
Girlincamo and I started on the same day, us and Michelle, Here are my favorites of theirs, there are three more people that joined after me, dakotakid35 and txgirl and ogormansnaps
I found my way to 365 because my friend @etiep posted a link on her FaceBook each time she uploaded, took me a year but I finally decided to give it a try. I should also mention that this project has helped me get past a year & a half long artistic slump, thank goodness cause it feels GREAT to be shooting again :-)
I'm here because of my dear friend, Cindy Gold, an incredibly talented photographer who isn't doing her project at this point (it was all on FB) - hopefully she will again. This project has turned my whole life around, slowed me down, inspired me, and opened my eyes in so many ways. Much gratitude.
I have brought my friend Robin Warner and actually quite a few others (sister, niece, nephew, several friends) but only Robin has been totally committed....

I came here because of someone I don't know very well. We're friends on facebook and I saw her uploads and really wanted to start my own project. It took a couple months to finally jump aboard. since then, my little sister has started one:
I actually was doing a search on my Ipod for sites to inspire the 365 photo project and I was using swagbucks.com to do my search. If I remember right I got 12 swagbucks for that search. :D
I decided then I was gonna take on the challenge and use this site. :D

Umm, Jeremy, Bev, Micah, Shenay, Kyle... my highschool art teacher (but she doesn't post here; she posts them on her blog) and two people I went to highschool with started up here but stopped early on.
