Help, I cannot log in with my cell anymore!

Has anyone had this before? Since yesterday I cannot log in with my cell phone. My name etc. is there and it says log in or create an account. When I tap login, nothing happens. As I use my cell more frequently than my pc, I urgently need some help! Thanks in advance .

So sorry to hear this. It has happened to me before. Have you tried clearing your cookies and history via Settings? Switching it off and waiting for a minute or two and then switching it back on again?

Sometimes the cache it is loading from is too old and clearning history and cookies lets it load afresh from the latest version of the page.

@casablanca you and your cookies!!! LOL!!! My lap top had over 1000 to be crunched!!!!
Diana when I get updates 365 often objects but it sorts itself out if I leave ut. Also, Type in your details manually, don't accept what pops up from the memory in the log on boxes. Also sort the cookies ( now I know about them)

@casablanca @30pics4jackiesdiamond Thanks for the prompt replies. Yesterday I cleared everything that could be cleared (maybe too much). I followed a tutorial on youtube how to get rid of pop ups! It only started a few days ago, every time I picked up my cell, there would be pop up video's or advertising! It is so nerve racking, even in the middle of a conversation. No idea what to do now, as I definitely need my cell for 365 ;-)

@30pics4jackiesdiamond Ha ha ha, I know! But then, after many conversations with techies over the years, the top two answers for many problems are:
1) Clear your history and cookies
2) Turn it off and turn it on again!

And the salient question is always "have you taken a back up?"

@ludwigsdiana It's terribly unnerving, isn't it? You should be able to set your browser to disallow pop ups. What are you using?

Hard reset is another thing you can try.

Hold home button and on off switch together for a good few seconds until it switches itself off. Then leave it a minute and try turning it back on again.

@casablanca I have a galaxy S8, I tried the bottom option, no change. I am no techie at all, what is a hard reset lol?

@ludwigsdiana Actually, what I describe is a soft reset, I realise. Hard reset takes it back to Factory Settings. This might help: http://www.smartmobilephonesolutions.com/content/difference-between-soft-reset-and-hard-reset-on-mobile-phones

Is your software up to date?

Can you log in to any other websites or is it only 365 that has the problem?

@ludwigsdiana By the way, don't do a factory settings reset if you don't want to take everything off the phone! That link explains what the various options are.

@casablanca Thanks for hanging in there with me, issue is resolved! I spent the last few hours on youtube checking what I did yesterday to get rid of the pop ups! My cookies were turned off! Not sure about the pop ups though! Many thanks and have a lovely weekend :-)
