I have wanted to start this for a long time, so I'm just going to go for it. We are always picking someone's photos on here that touch us, but maybe there is someone you follow that inspires you in multiple ways. Maybe by their kindness, their creativity, fun. You name it. Find someone that has touched you in some way, and brag away.....about them.
I'm going to brag about Laura. This girl is amazing. She is doing the 365 project to document one year of her battle with an eating disorder. Some of her pictures are very shocking, and some are so deep, and literally speak to me. They are definitely worth looking through. So Laura, this brag book is for you!!
@petersonsheri thank you for showing us Laura Anne's photos...they are beautiful in composition and emotion as well.I don't know anyone on here (except 2 friends who started with me in December/January), but I truly hope to find someone here who inspires and moves me like Laura Ann has done for you. :)
oh wow Sheri, when i think that you can't get any kinder, you go and do something else! haha. I'm so glad i met you on here, even though we may never meet in person, you've quickly become one of the most important people in my life. You never fail to offer me encouraging words of support and you're always there to bring a smile to my face.
I've felt like giving this project up a lot of times, but knowing that you especially are always here to write little comments of hope on my pictures, it makes me carry on.
You are a truly wonderful person, and i hope you know it!!!
P.s.... i'm wearing the necklace (:
This is a tricky one as I have many people that inspire me in different ways and I follow some wonderful people. Tiffany ( @tiggymooshoo ) is someone that inspires me in many ways. I would love to take photos like she does, they are all so beautiful!! She is also one amazing woman who shares the story of her beautiful children especially the gorgeous Ivy who is also a little inspiration. As I am also the Mum of a child that at times goes through more than any mum wants to see them go through, it is wonderful to see what a difference this family is making to the lives of others. Thankyou Tiffany xx
This is a really difficult one. There are so many people on 365 who inspire me in so many ways. One of my favourites would be Amy Hughes. She is a dedicated wife/mother who also manages to balance a creative lifestyle among it all. I know this can be tricky so my hat goes off to her.
My inspiration to get off my butt, stop whinging about taking bad photos and to try to do something about it was my lovely friend Rebecca (@canberrabec). We started the 365 together, she's encouraged and mentored me, listened to me whine about issues in my life then made everything better with a smile & a quip. Oh, and she is continually upping the ante with her pictures. I am very proud of her for leaping outside her comfort zone & deliberately taking pictures of things that she finds difficult or scary.
@timtam_adams *hugs*... thanks so much Tim! You are a good friend, and a really great friend to me - so glad that I have helped with your ongoing 365 adventure... keep up the wonderful work :). I'm so touched that you have thought to add this to this discussion xx
It was so hard to be able to pick heros and heroines from this site. There are so many. Among those who are doing amazing work while struggling against incredible odds with health issues I'd pick @redfl83 Carole who is clearly a true artist with her wonderful seascapes and fabulous soft colours and reflections. She also takes a lot of time to leave warm messages of encouragement for others and has great humility about her own work. Here’s one of my favs from her collection.
@miranda Omg you just made me blub Miranda,Yes im a complete wimp too. Just had a quick look before i have a nap to prepare for going out to our gig & got this lovely surprise. Thanks so much,You have seriously made my entire week!!!
@petersonsheri --- Thanks for sharing Laura's work with us. I don't take a lot of people pictures and really admire those who can capture emotions. I think she does a good job of doing that in her pictures. I like everything I've seen so far. :-)
Sheri i'm so overwhelmed by the response i've got from people on here since you made this discussion! Before now i've always been very low key on here, but now i've got loads of new followers and more comments than i've been able to count.
I feel a bit pathetic to say it, but i've actually got tears in my eyes from the reaction off people. You have, once again, helped boost my confidence so much. And although i'm finding it a bit hard being 'the center of attention' and having loads more people know about me, it's really given me a boost, and the determination to carry on taking pictures (and maybe eventually, one day, make that book you keep pestering me about!) =P
Once again, thank you!
@raralauz I will be back on tomorrow to have a look at your album, really looking forward to it after reading everyone's comments. Big Hugs to help deal with the new found fame x
NIkki was one of my first followers. She has great, funny photos and she's always ready to help me out whenever I post a discussion or have a question! Thanks Nikki!
@dmortega I'm so glad that you saw Laura's work. Her soul is so deep, and her creativity amazing. I hope that with our encouragement she gets well and uses her talent to help others. She's such a sweetie!!
@timtam_adams Agreed!! Rebecca is incredible and definitely worth bragging about. I wish this thread wouldn't have gotten knocked off the board so fast. I think a lot of people would have had fun with this. :(
@sdpace Hi Stacy, and welcome to 365. You will find a wonderful community on here. Browse the new posts or popular page, or just do searches on subjects that interest you, and start following people and their projects. Make comments, and often times people will start following you back and make comments too. Before you know it, you will have a large group of new friends. :)
I would like to suggest, for sheer fun and originality, this person. I always wonder what the clones are going to do today. @neeonline is the creator. Check him out!
@aj1268 Paula, I can definitely see how checking in on these guys can brighten up your day!! Do you want to mention their name or link so they know you are bragging about them? You can go in and edit your reply and add an @ with their screen name.
@canberrabec@pyrrhula You are welcome you two, and thank you. I wish the thread would have stayed on the main page longer. I think there are probably a lot of people like myself who have someone on here that has just touched our soul in a certain way. It's kind of fun to let them know. :)
