I nearly jumped off the sofa when one of my photos popped up as the first one shown, albeit fleetingly. A real buzz, and great encouragement for a newby like myself, only 3 weeks in to the project, but already obsessed with it!
Here's the starring photo again if you want to see it for more than a couple of seconds:
We'll have to see about forming an East Anglian 365ers group, seeing as there's so many of us! We could actually meet up to take photos, sharing knowledge of good local spots. :-)
"Web Designer headhunted by news network through Twitter is interviewed on BBC1 Look East.
Online PR News – 21-January-2011 –One of the HP Group SEO design team has been featured on a local news programme thanks to the popularity of his website the 365 project. Ross Scrivener, who has been working with HP Group for over a year was headhunted through the social networking platform Twitter, highlighting the power of social media optimisation, just one off the services on offer at the Essex based SEO agency.
The 365 Project has been running for two years, and now has a staggering 40,000 members who build a profile of their life by uploading a daily photo. Themes from nature to urban exploration and snapshots of personal moments from around the world fill the galleries, and give visitors a chance to look through the eyes of someone else’s life. The large collection of public photos is an inspiration, and members can see their photography skills develop over time.
Ross, who as a designer, has a keen eye for aesthetics is thrilled with the way the project is coming along, “Over the last few years I have watched the 365 project grow, and become what the members have made it. So many amazing images are showcased every day and the friendships our members have built up is something I’m really proud to be a part of.”"
Hi - I'm an East Anglian (Cambridgeshire) and just joined after seeing the interview! I've just finished a 365 from 2010 and into a new one for 2010 - can't believe I hadn't come across this site last year!! Anyway looking forward to getting to know as many of you as I can. :)
That was great Ross thanks! Had it on record and there was my steam roundabout tent photo! WoW thanks for choosing one of mine! @edpartridge got 2 of his shown and Greg the duck featured too! @craigdtull I agree they could have done without the San Fran video. A big congrats to the whole site! How do we find Mike Liggins then? :-)
fantastic, the website is brilliant, I'm on it everyday and I've learned so much, as have many others. To get onto the popular page is a dream come true and very uplifting, keep it up.
