I am currently using Photoshop Elements to organize all of my digital scrapbooking images, but I have not used it for photo organization yet. I find the database a bit slow.

What do you use to organize your pictures on the computer? Do you like it?

I just use windows. I keep all the photos I took in separate folders for the day and then they'll go in to a folder for the month. I've seen elements but didn't like so didn't use it. Corel do one also I think but again don't want to use it.

I tag everything... I am over 10k images a year, so LR3, with multi libraries works best and I can tag, sort and back-up with ease.

I have a mac and use iPhoto, and I love it. I've also started importing the photos I really like into Apeture to play around with for this project. I like the way Apeture keeps things organized by projects, but I also like iPhoto keeping everything organized by date.

Assuming you have a windows computer, there is a microsoft office tool called "Picture Manager" (hidden away in a folder called Microsoft Office Tools within the start menu) that lets you rename whole bunches of photos at once in a sequential manner. I use it and it's pretty quick.

I use both iPhoto and PhotoShop Elements.

I use Photo Mechanic. It is a true photo database program in that it can edit IPTC data, sort into photos, search for specific photos, and even has export tools that will upload your photos to Facebook, Flickr, Photoshelter, Zenfolio, or whatever other site you use.

I use Picasa too (both the software and the online account)

I use Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 3.0. It's an excellent program for the intermediate/advanced shooter. It's very strong in organizing and editing. However, if you're a beginner or someone who likes scrapbooking, creating calendars and greeting cards, I'd go with Adobe Photoshop Elements. Both can be downloaded and used for free for 30 days at adobe.com

Windows, folder per day/place, each pic tagged with keywords of objects or names of people. Tags make it easy to search for something in particular without looking through all the folders.

Lightroom. My digital workflow productivity has improved beyond belief with this.
