Flash tutorials?

Hi folks...I'm trying to work with a flash unit...both putting it in the hotshoe and using with wireless trigger but I'm having trouble figuring out how far the flash goes, whether to use it on TTL and auto zoom, etc. I'm shooting with a SONY A6000 and and a Godox flash TT350 with and Godox X1T trigger. If you can recommend resources - books, tutorials etc so I can figure this all out, I'd really appreciate it. Or just a lesson from someone who knows!!!

I shall follow with interest. I have the same flash and trigger, but also have trouble following the instruction manual.
