The subject line kinda says it all…. I started looking into this a few years ago and never really pursued it…. Thinking it’s something I want to explore for travel…. Any and all thoughts and input appreciate!
@northy@anker70 LR mobile works terrifically on ipad. I just finished an iPhonePhotography class on editing with LR on iPhone and iPad. It really improved my editing and I only use my iPad. It was what gave me the idea of editing my flashback photos last month.
@northy@ankers70 I haven't used PS on my iPad but I have used LR for mobile fairly often. It works in pretty much the same way as LR desktop. It would never replace my desktop workflow but it is extremely useful, especially when I am traveling.
@ankers70@northy This gets confusing. To be precise, Lightroom Classic is for desktop or laptop, the app on your phone or tablet is Lightroom for Mobile. However, there is also Lightroom CC which is a cloud based service that spans your desktop, web and mobile devices and requires storage space for your images in the cloud, which costs $. I find my needs met by Lightroom Classic (desktop) and Lightroom for mobile.
@jyokota The short answer is yes, but anytime you sync you are using cloud storage. Your basic subscription to Lightroom/Photoshop, the photography plan, comes with 20GB of cloud storage which doesn’t take long to use up if you sync. You can pay extra for more storage if you wish. If working across platforms is important to you then you probably need to look at a Lightroom CC subscription.
@cdcook48 I do pay for the photography package on LR and I only sync when I'm traveling and using an alternate system than my home one. Thanks for the response -- I have never tried iPad editing but might give it a try!
