I tried one of these type of things with my Android phone. Connect SLR to laptop, install a server on the laptop, app on the phone, app talks to server talks to camera.

It was complete pants, not to mention the pain in the ass of needing to lug a laptop around too...

Maybe this iPhone one's different but I need to watch the idiots who got fired from The Apprentice now so I'll watch the youtube later ^_^
