I really want to remember my year with this 365 project and I'm glad I started. I am just wondering where you guys get the ideas for pictures. What do you do if you have a day where you do absolutely nothing? I have just started but am looking for ideas to better my project so that I can look back and really love the pictures I've taken.
Most of my inspiration comes from music. It could be instruments, radios, anything that respresents 'music' to me. Or even something as simple as the title of a song (hence my "sunglasses at night" photo).
In my opinion, inspiration is easy... just think about what makes YOU happy. What YOU like. =)
...and, to touch on what Malena said, sometimes inspiration comes what you don't like, what hurts, perhaps emotionally, etc. All depends which way you want to go with it.
No inspiration... I just shoot what's nearest to me... book, dinner, pen, keyboard.... oh... and the dog, the dog and the dog... I have only one dog but he features frequently! I photograph anything... even a penny!
So far the most interest to my pics have come on the shots that were of the "turn-point-and-click" variety. For instance, "Liquid Sunshine" was something that I turned my head to look out the window at work, there was the fern, two shots with telephoto, walk over to the window and shoot closer and there was the one posted. The everything else was for the shadows theme that day. So, like Elizabeth said, shot what's nearest to you. Some days will be flat nothing, others you will have more than you can post for a month.
I'm in the same boat as Elizabeth, it depends on my surroundings.
Often times if something catches my eye, I photograph it. It doesn't always work out the way I hope, but I'm always on the look-out for the next shot.
Thanks for responding. All of this stuff is going to really help me out! I like all of your ideas! I cant wait to keep this going and take a picture every day. Thanks everyone!
