Tripod-weird..

September 22nd, 2011
I am looking at the booklet that came with the tripod ive had for a lil while now. The reason i am looking at it is as follows:

The handles, of which my tripod has three, appear to be all straight in the images in the booklet. ONE of my handles in real life though, seems to have been warped or bent or something of that nature. It has a 45 degree angle on the silver bit between the handle and the screwing in bit. Now this would not be a problem if it was not a major inconvenience, because if i angle the camera up in the sky for example, i cannot actually rotate the handle to tighten the tripod and stop it from moving... and its also a pain to rotate because it does a 15cm circle instead of rotating on the spot.......

Any one know whats going on...? :/

Sounds broken to me. If a handle is meant to be angled, it still turns normally (not by way of a bent shaft).

Yeah the thing that baffles me @jinximages is that the bend looks SO clean and deliberate, as if someone swapped it or something.

@marshy15 Looks like a Manfrotto, all handles should be straight, suggest returning them for replacement =)
