Bit of a long shot, but anyone know if there's a place you can find manuals for old cameras (or something to help me out!) online? I've been given an Olympus OM-30 from the 80s and don't want to do anything wrong, and really want to learn how to use it properly so any help would be great! Thanks :)
They have tons of information on just about every camera you can imagine. I know they have a lot of DSLR manuals, screenshots, and tuts online so maybe they'll have yours, too.
I don't see the OM-30 on there, but I could have missed it. There is, however, about eleventy gazillion other OM models, and one of those manuals might be helpful!
P.S. I'm really into older film cameras right now, and totally jealous of your score. :) Can't wait to see what you get with this!
@grimbo I started out on lomo/toy, too! I have two Holgas and another cheapie camera that I got at the thrift for $2. :) I always tell people that I think Holgas and their ilk are great introductions to film because they are so lo-fi.
I've been shooting on nothing but film, pretty much, for a couple of weeks now, and even in just that small amount of time, I've learned so much more about aperture and ISOs and shutter speed and yada yada yada. :)
I've had an OM10 since my 18th birthday (longer ago than I care to remember!) and it's still my favourite camera - look forward to seeing your film shots!

This might be helpful - I don't know if he has Olympus cams, but I found a manual for my 1966 Mamiya here. :)

Although the OM-30 doesn't seem to be there, controls for the OM10 would be similar. You can see the differences between them here : http://camerapedia.wikia.com/wiki/Olympus_OM-10/20/30/40
